World´s tallest building to be built in 90 days.

I am more or less stunned by the fact that if, this bulding-project will get it´s final approval, it will be finished in 90 days.
Take a look at it - 90 days?
Well, that is only part of the truth, it will take 90 days to put the building up, but the larger part of the work is being done in a factory.
Shortly; the buildings wall- and floor panels will be built on the factory-floor. In a flat-pack way of system, like IKEA.
Electricity, plumbing, airconditioning will be installed in floors and walls before they get shipped to the construction site.
But all pieces must be ready first. Once they are - the outdoor construction work starts.

This technique reduces the cost by two-thirds, less cement is needed.
Fresh-air heat recovery, quadruple glazing and 15 cm of thermal insulation will definitely add to the buildings green aura.

The cost? Less than half compared to Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which took five years to build.

Sky City in Changsha will stand tall, very tall, tallest in the world - 838 meters high.
So far so good.

One thing must be asked, is there really a need for these types of buildings, in which the most powerful economies of the world are competing, in what seems to me - a rather meaningless race.
Where will all this end up?
Abu Dhabi will probably start planning for 890 meter high building?
Next up: India with 1 010 meter high tower......

One day, hopefully, even these countries will start contemplate and come to their senses and realise that economic growth, in this form, is not everything that people need.

Fresh water, food, health care, medical care, jobs and less corruption and fraud are higher on their list than Sky City is in the air.

In the meantime, good luck with the Changsha-project.
