Marble Bar, Western Australia, probably the hottest place on earth?

Marble Bar in the northwestern part of Western Australia is well known for extremely hot weather.
With plenty of old rock formations in the Pilbara it is statistically the hottest place in Australia and in the Guiness Book of World Records, Marble Bar is recorded for 161 days above 38 degress C.
161 days above 38 degrees C, that´s right, I have not misspelled the figures.
Probably the hottest place on earth?

Originally Marble Bar was put on the map following a gold discovery in 1893, a couple of years earlier in 1891 the town had a population of almost 5000, however today only about 250 people live here.

Marble Bar is the perfect destination if you love hot weather and at the same time are looking for the outback experience of WA without bumping into thousands of busy people.

The most famous building in Marble Bar today would be the Iron Clad Hotel, built in the 1890´s and constructed of iron it was given the name by Americans who where reminded by the corrugated iron ships from the US.

Three famous gold fines of gold nuggets will remind you of Marble Bar. 300 to 400 ounces and namned Little hero and Bobby Dazzler. Don´t have the name of the third nugget.

The Chinaman pool and Marble Bar are popular swimming areas for locals and tourists.

The name?
Marble Bar was named after the first deposits of mineral found and thought to be marble, but later to be jasper.
