Cricket upset down under.

First of all - I know practically nothing about cricket.

But - nevertheless, when there are headlines all across the non-cricket-playing-world that a wonder happened down under yesterday, I just simply had to read a little about it.

The Cricket World Cup is being played in Australia and New Zealand for another few weeks.

And what is the upset I am so thrilled about?

Bangladesh beat England and sent them out of the final stages (?) of the Cup.

At the Adelaide Oval. 

As I said I cannot refer to any scores, overs or runs or whatever, I just can tell you that this is like Iceland or FYR Macedonia would eliminate Germany or Brazil in the Soccer World Cup.

And now Bangladesh will travel to the most famous cricket ground of them all, the MCG, Melbourne Cricket Ground, where some of the matches, correct me if I´m wrong, in the play-offs will be played.

The English team will probably return home disguised as a party of platypuses. 

Go Bangladesh, from now on I cross my fingers for you.

Qatar Airways´ first A380 takes off...

...for the very first time, from Toulouse in France to Hamburg, Germany, where the rest of the interior and exterior work will be done.

In Hamburg it is to be fitted with a cabin, according to Qatars´ wishes and also when it comes to the exterior the paint scheme.

Qatar Airways has firm orders for ten A380s, and sometimes in early 2014 it will take delivery of this particular aircraft, as the eleventh airline to join the proud and prestigious club of A380 operators.

With Doha as it´s homebase.

Up to this date from entering into service in 2007, 108 A380s are crisscrossing the skies of our planet, and so far there has been over 120,000 commercial flights. 

I have have flown it from Sydney to London, if you ever get the opportunity to choose, choose A380, not only for the thrill of it, but also for the comfort, the quiteness in the cabin, it´s stability in the air, it´s slow-motion action when taking off and landing, 

It is with dignity this giant moves like a spermwhale in the air.
